Born to artistic parents it was no surprise that I was naturally drawn to creative expression. After completing a Foundation course in Art and Design, I attained an HND in Stitched Textiles and Fashion Design, both from Telford College, Edinburgh before going on to the Surrey Institute of Art and Design (since renamed The University for the Creative Arts) where I was awarded a 2:1 BA Hons in Fashion.

Before I could even speak, (my mother tells me), I was very happy, quietly flicking through fashion magazines such as Vogue; taking in the beauty of the colours and form. Fashion has always been and continues to be a passion. I have over ten years experience in fashionl;  6 years as a personal shopper/stlist in a department store on Oxford Street, freelance styling for musicians and a year as a manager of a designer store as well as part-time work throughout my studies. During this time I have dressed thousands of women and men (including a few celebrities), styled and presented fashion shows and helped hundreds of journalists, TV presenters and stylists.  I have also featured in In Style magazine and written articles for various newspapers. A few years running I assisted Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine dress the winners of the Nescafe competitions.

Alongside my work in fashion, I have nurtured a deep need for creative expression through painting, drawing, collage and textile work. My work is a mixture of abstract, figurative and illustration. The abstract work is spiritual and is emotionally driven, this is the area I’m working on currently but plan to do more figurative work in the future. My work is inspired by my belief in energy beyond the material, bringing healing and love to humanity and the world. Throughout the five years of my studies, drawing – especially life drawing -  was a big part of my learning process. It is my belief that art is a very important part of society and that it should bring beauty and lift people’s spirits. That is what I aspire to achieve with my work.
