Colliers Food in Colliers Wood

Posted Monday, January 14th, 2013
Posted in Future, Nature, Web | Comments Off

A founding member of ‘Colliers Food’, organic food Co-op by and for the people of Colliers Wood, London SW19 and surrounding area.

I’ve just set up this Facebook page   and we also have a  Wiki space page.

The nearest organic shop at the moment is in Balham which is not really practical, so we decided to set something up locally and eventually would love to have a shop, using a disused unit and helping regenerate the area.

Colliers Wood is one stop from South Wimbledon and ten minutes from Wimbledon town centre in London, UK.

We have Merton Abbey Mills which is of historic interest very nearby I have written about it  here.

Seasonal salutations!

Posted Wednesday, December 19th, 2012
Posted in Future, Web | Comments Off

Seasonal salutations readers. Thanks so much to all of you for subscribing and visiting my website over the past year. There are nearly 2,000 of you now. 111 more subscribers and I will have reached that lofty target. It’s been a great year to be British with the Queen’s diamond  jubilee and the London 2012 Olympics celebratations  as well as many others. Less than two weeks to go  until 2013 and only two days to 21st December when doomesday believers have the ‘end of the world’ scheduled. When we all wake up on Saturday, perhaps they’ll find something more constructive  to put their energies toward. One can only hope.

Looking forward to another year and hundreds more photographs. Thank you for sharing my pictorial journey with me this year and may you all have a very merry (mine’s a Disaronno on the rocks) Christmas. Cheers! Happy hunnukah or whatever you’re celebrating, if not Christmas. All the best for coming year. See you on the other side. Sabina x

Plastic Shores‘ is a non-profit educational film about the effects of plastic debris on our marine ecosystem. Supported by Greener upon Thames, The Marine Conservation Society and Surfers Against Sewage among others.

In the year 2010 global plastic production reached 300 million tonnes. A third of this was used in disposable packaging. In the United Kingdom, 3 million tonnes of plastic are thrown away every year, 1% of the total amount of all plastic manufactured on the planet.

Here I will be interviewing writer, producer and director of ‘Plastic Shores’,  Ed Scott-Clarke.

Sabina Lucia: Thank you for joining us today, Ed. The point about plastic pollution that shocked me most is that the Earth’s oceans are in the EXTINCTION phase. Do you believe that we are already too late, or do you think that if we work hard enough at solving the problem we can still heal our seas and save our planet?

Ed Scott-Clarke: I always try and remain an optimist about these things because the environment has a remarkable ability to bounce back from the brink of disaster (look at the nature reserve on the site of Chernobyl). However, the scale of destruction to the world’s oceans is unprecedented and multi-sourced. There is not only marine pollution (of which plastic pollution is just one part) but also ocean acidification, over-fishing, and global warming. With such a multi-faceted attack on the healthiness of the oceans it is hard to see light at the end of the tunnel. One thing is for certain, we need to change our attitude NOW if we are ever to fix this problem.

SL: You must be very proud ofPlasticShores. It is a great achievement and very visually effective. Does the final edit reach your expectations of how you perceived it to be and how does it compare to your other projects?

ESC: I think with all film-makers, the more you watch a project of your own the more you notice things you would like to change. I thinkPlasticShores is great for a broad overview of the problem of marine debris but I do wish we had had a bigger budget to cover areas further afield than the USA and the UK. As it was my directorial debut, it was very different from other projects I have worked on as I had creative control for the first time.

SL: What are your hopes for the future of PlasticShores? I know that you’ve successfully shown it at some UN meetings, any plans to distribute in schools and universities?

ESC: We have had (and are continuing to have) screenings all across the globe. So far we have shown at the UN in Brussels and Vienna, the OECD, the European Commission and the House of Congress in the USA. Many smaller charities are also showing the film and we are making sure ‘Plastic Shores’ is available to them at a minimal price so they can spread the word as far and wide as possible. We are also showing at schools and universities around the UK. For members of the public, it is available to download or on DVD from the Plastic Shores website: www.plasticshoresmovie.com

SL: Can you remember when and how you first became aware of what a gigantic problem plastic pollution is, and how you reacted at the time?

ESC: I studied archaeology at university and one of the first things you get taught is how to relate the different strata in the soil to different ages in our past. You know you are below the 1950s when there are no disposable plastics in the soil, meaning plastics are the material that defines our age! I first heard about plastic pollution in the oceans through an article in the Independent and I remember how amazed I was that more people didn’t know about this phenomena. That was the first step towards making ‘PlasticShores’.

SL: You have hinted at plans for a future movie project; care to share any clues as to what it will be?

ESC: We are currently working with the UN in putting together a film on the Cradle to Cradle concept. It is closely related toPlasticShores in the sense that it covers the problems of waste disposal but this will be solely funded by the UN.

SL: Are you showingPlasticShores at any film festivals?

ESC: It isn’t the type of film that will be shown at regular film festivals due to its educational nature. As a result we aim at more specialist ones and have screened at the Mare Mostra International Ocean Film Festival and are scheduled to show at several others this year.

SL: What do you think and know about ‘Free Energy‘? Do you, like me, think it could change the planet for the better in a very short space of time?

ESC: Although it is a great idea, I’m sure if it happened instantaneously there would be absolute chaos in the world unless the infrastructure was already in place. Also, it depends on the energy source. If it is free and still comes from fossil fuels, we are not really dealing with the problem.

SL: To anyone that hasn’t yet seenPlasticShores and may just be learning about the extent of the plastic pollution problem, what advice do you give for reducing our use of plastic and what can we do to help?

ESC: There is a free downloadable PDF on the Plastic Shores website compiled by ‘My Plastic Free Life’ author Beth Terry. It gives ten tips about how to reduce your reliance on disposable plastic items.

SL: Great, will check out the tips on your website. Thank you Ed, for your time and for all your hard work educating us on plastic pollution. Look forward to seeing the Cradle to Cradle film.

Heart Disease Cure Found In Zebra Fish?

Posted Sunday, May 27th, 2012
Posted in Future, Nature, World | Comments Off

Over the last few days I have come across a few bits of info I want to share about heart related illnesses.

The first is about prevention – something that is fairly easy to put into practice and could be enjoyable too. Butter, eggs? Yes please!

“Cholestorol doesn’t cause heart disease. ” –  As seen here on this article by Chris Kesser L.Ac

The second is an article on the  BBC Website  about research by The British Heart Foundation that the Zebra Fish can heal their own hearts. The British Heart Foundation are raising money to help use this finding to treat people who’ve had a heart attack and need to raise £50,000,000 in order to do so.   Donate here.

Save The Bee

Posted Wednesday, April 4th, 2012

‘The Guardian’ Article – Pesticides Linked to Honey bee decline.

“The reason for the huge decline in bee numbers has remained uncertain, but pesticides, the varroa mite and other parasites, and destruction of the flower-rich habitats in which bees feed are believed to be the key reasons. Pesticide manufacturers and the UK government deny a class of the chemicals called neonicotinoids cause significant problems for bees, but Germany, Italy and France have suspended key insecticides over such fears. “

What Did I Learn In 2011?

Posted Saturday, December 31st, 2011
Posted in Fashion, Future | Comments Off

Hey everybody,

As Australia sees in the new year, I am thinking of the one we leave behind and a question set to me by my friend @KateLister -          ” “What Did You Learn In 2011?”

I will share with you some of the lessons I learned, and have been reminded of, over the last year.

1.  I learned that loss is part of everybody’s lives and once we accept this, it is easier to deal with. Nothing is permanent, not even the universe, so when we lose somone or something it is best to remember the good and forget the bad, whilst retaining the lessons we learned.

2.  I was reminded that despite tragedy, sadness and loss, we can find happiness and love again. ‘Love like you’ve never been hurt’ is how it goes is it not?

3. I learned on a personal and professional level that a few people working together can make a difference. I read somewhere that it is in fact, the only thing that ever has. With the non profit group I do social media and PR for, Greener Upon Thames, we called for a ban on plastic bags at London 2012 Olympics and the very next day, Boris Johnson, whose team have been helping us, called for a ban on plastic bags across London in time for the Olympics which of course is even better.

4. As a very cerebral person I am learning that sometimes you have to forget what your head says and just follow your heart.

5. A lot of amazing health and nutrition information from this group on Facebook PREVENTION AND HEALING – NATURAL CURES including cancer prevention and cure.

6.  That there are hundreds of people with Rh negative blood type  like me (A Rh-) that are researching where we come from and finding out lots of interesting facts about our ancestors and the importance of our blood type in terms of diet and pregnancy and a whole lot of other reasons.

7. TRUST your INSTINCT. I had such a strong instinct NOT to go somewhere towards the end of last year, but despite protestations I was convinced by my partner at the time that everything would be fine.  I even stopped again, and repeated my warning of a strong gut feeling that it was a bad idea to go to this place. To cut a very long story very short, we went and I am now physically and mentally scarred for life as a consequence of the events that unfolded that evening. I hope, no…I WILL, do my utmost to not allow myself to be persuaded to act against my instincts again.

8. Giving up buying at least one pair of shoes a month is doable. I am no less happy and have more money to spend on things I actually need. Having said that fashionistas, I did manage to finally find the pefect-for-me shoe boots, or ‘shoobs’ as I like to call them. For under £20 from New Look.
Bargain!

9. Made some great discoveries about PR, writing to celebrities and reaching out to a wider audience through social media which I am really enjoying. Thanks for your help @Zangmo and @firetown with inspiration and tips.

10. When one door closes another opens.

What did you learn in 2011?

Opening the door to 2012. Must dash to primp and preen myself in preperation for tonight’s partying. Make a wish at midnight . Have fun and be safe whatever you do. See you next year!

Is Free Energy A Reality?

Posted Sunday, October 23rd, 2011
Posted in Future, World | Comments Off

Free energy is not a utopian pipe dream. It is real. It exists and has done for over 100 years. Many believe, myself included, that free energy harnessed and used by all would change the world for the better in so many ways; clean up our planet – less pollution, oil disasters, drilling, and nuclear catastrophes, with free energy we can grow more food – enough for everyone, no more wars over resources. But unfortunately these great truths are being suppressed, unsurprisingly, by the big multinational corporations and greedy people. But thankfully NOW people are waking up to the truth and making and using free energy devices for themselves. Don’t wait for your government to make the move, do it for yourself and save yourself hundreds of £/$ etc per year.

Firetown Interview

Posted Monday, October 18th, 2010

Michael Dammann has been an internet marketer since the late 1990s and in the past 2 years he has dedicated his life to making an impact on the asleep masses, believing whatever the media tells them to believe.

Michael Dammann’s websites and projects include http://firetown.comand,  http://theworldsprophecy.com/ as well as a new network for rhesus negative blood type people http://rhesusnegative.net/work

Michael’s goal is to beat the New World Order by helping others completely disconnect from the lies of life.

I caught up with him today to pick his brains on some thought-provoking issues.

Mike Dammann

SABINA LUCIA: Michael, what would you say is the single, biggest global issue right now?

MICHAEL DAMMANN: The single biggest issue is ignorance. We cannot focus on one issue alone, but we have to focus on the fact that we are the gatekeepers, not knowing. It has to be an uprising or at least a circle of ‘right’ people rising and expanding that circle. 90 percent of the world population wants to follow someone and will follow you or me if we are in the right position. But would also abandon us in a heartbeat should someone else come up.

It’s Animal Farm all over again.

To say it briefly, quoting someone who died preaching the truth:

Read everything, listen to everybody, don’t trust anything unless you
can prove it with your own research.   –   William Cooper 1943-2001

SL: Where would you recommend readers who are new to the truth movement gain some information and learn about this subject?

MD: Hmm, I, of course,  am doing my best with my own sites.  I recommend a few people posted here:

http://www.firetown.com/blog/2010/10/11/here-are-some-people-i-consider-legit-but-don’t-take-my-word-for-that-either/

Most of the sources out there are actually run by the elite. 3 out of the 6 people listed there on my link have died for the truth, so it’s
safe to say they were not a part of it.

Regardless, stay away from Alex Jones and David Icke and any organization such as the Oath Keeper.

All of the main names in mainstream media are sent to lead you down the garden path.

Here is a list of disinformation agents:

http://www.firetown.com/blog/2010/10/10/disinfo-agents/

Listen to the ones who died first. Especially Rik Clay and Bill Cooper. And don’t trust anybody you do not know personally. Expand your circle of friends who are willing and eager to learn with you and have the right intentions.
SL: What is the motivation of the powers that be, is it purely greed or is there another, more sinister agenda?

MD: Well, the zionists want power and the royals have been for ages trying to get rid of the opposition. There will be an end battle between them by the way. The royals are sick of dealing with the mob and want people chipped, but the bankers are the ones really in charge. They just want the same thing, not having to deal with people, but to be on the control panel, deciding how much credit you have in your chip.

Basically, once someone has been on top of the ladder, he wants more. So they want to turn us into robots and toys. It is more than just power and greed. It is about elevation towards a god type of level. Until they reach it, they will die trying to continue.

Let’s fuck them up!

SL: What evidence have you seen that they want to microchip us? Can you link to some evidence or information on this please?

http://www.theworldsprophecy.com/buying-and-selling-in-a-rfid-chip/

No evidence, just a lot of circumstantial and then remember what Aaron Russo said in Freedom To Fascism:

http://www.theworldsprophecy.com/america-freedom-to-fascism-must-watch-must-share/

SL: What in your opinion is the best way for people to move forward and oppose the New World Order?

MD: Turn off the TV and talk to your friends. Be willing to die in order to live. If you don’t rise, you will die old and chained and as a slave one day.

The call will come for all of us
when we must walk the road of love
if we will stray they take us in
the cage is dark and very thin

we may not live to see the day
but if we live because we stray

Our slavery will be much worse
Than death with pride could ever hurt

SL: What questions should we be asking?

MD: Anything that comes to mind, even if it’s taboo and involving subjects such as faith or the Holocaust. Question anything and everything and never be satisfied with half ass answers.

SL: With forests disappearing and fish stocks in our seas diminishing, how
can we heal and protect our planet?

MD: We can’t until we de-throne the big names. It’s done by design. Get rid of the entire elite, renew every part of government by not allowing one current official to continue their reign and redistribute BP, Shell and all the other thieving companies.

SL: What do you make of the 2012 conspiracies and do you believe that we  will move into a period of global enlightenment?

MD: NO I don’t. It’s just a myth. If I am wrong, I’m ready, but where is the proof?

I don’t know though, so I am not going to make this a definite denial either, even though I think it’s definitely bull shit. The Mayan calendar however makes it convenient to let us think so and movies like 2012 prepare us for the need to get saved onto the boat:

By the way, if you believe in the bible;  know Genesis 8 where God promises no more floods.

However: The fear factor and the dream factor both serve to get people sidetracked from reality. A global food crisis will, however happen and in 2011 the economy will collapse. The question is, will people wake up in time or not?

I hope so!
Don’t waste a second in which you could reach someone. The one you reach may be the one who will turn things our way.

SL: How can we prepare for this, what should we be doing to strengthen our  resources?

MD: I would recommend watching two movies:

1) Esoteric Agenda:

http://www.theworldsprophecy.com/esoteric/

2) Rik Clay’s appearance:

http://www.firetown.com/forum/?mingleforumaction=viewtopic&t=67.1

Esoteric Agenda will show you how we have been conditioned and confused. Many ask if I get depressed discussing this and the answer is ‘no’. I am free from lies and I realise how people are being deceived. The solution is easy, but in the spirit of love we have to continue reaching who we care about.

SL: Michael thank you so much for your taking the time to answer my questions and for your continued efforts in raising awareness on these matters.

On Saturday the 6th of November 2010 there will be a FUN night of LIVE MUSIC, MAGIC AND COMEDY to raise funds for the flood victims of Pakistan and India, at GJs Bar – 62 High Street,Colliers Wood, London, England. SW19 2FJ. Tickets are £10 and this includes one raffle ticket (with some exciting prizes) and buffet food. All money raised will be donated to UNICEF and their relief effort in Pakistan and India.

As I’m sure you already know, this natural disaster is worse than the Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004 or the Haiti earthquake last year with one fith of Pakistan’s land under water at one point. More than two thousand people have died and over a million homes have been destroyed. Clearly it’s going to take years for the country to recover and there are many ongoing problems not least the threat of disease from lack of clean, safe drinking water. So they still really need our help

MUSIC, MAGIC AND MIRTH will be lots of fun and we hope to raise about £1000, maybe more. There will be some really fantastic performers on the night; the fabulously funny comedy sketch group Politically Erect who aren’t strictly political,  Rebecca Poole (tbc) the jaw-droppingly gorgeous  jazz/pop singer who performs her own songs, comedy sketch group Politically Erect and close-up magic from Ian Gray all held together by the MC for the night, comedian Paul Laight.

Cure For Cancer In Your Kitchen Cupboard?

Posted Tuesday, September 28th, 2010
Posted in Future | 1 Comment »

Freedom?

Could the cure for cancer be in your kitchen cupboard? You might think this sounds crazy and like the words of some whack job but an Italian doctor has been curing patients with something many of us keep stored in the kitchen for when we feel the urge to make scones or bread: bicarbonate of soda. (This humble cupboard staple also, incidentally, removes odors from clothes, ashtrays, cat litter etc,  puts out electrical fires and  is used as a cleaning agent). Dr Tullio Simoncini has cured hundreds of cancer patients by treating them with this simple white powder. Apparently just ingesting a table spoon of bicarbonate of soda in warm water every day will reverse the effects. Hey it’s got to be worth a try hasn’t it? It’s amazing to think that something so simple and cheap could be so effective. So you’d expect Dr Simoncini to be hailed a genius for his discovery and applauded by the medical profession right? Wrong. He has been targeted by police and labeled a fraud and his knowledge is being suppressed.  All because, as Dr Simoncini explains in an interview with Emma Holister:

TS: Suppression. Plots. Defamatory TV programs. When a scientist has an effective and revolutionary idea, the medical institution attempts to suppress his work because he threatens the interests of the ruling class. No matter how effective the therapy in question is, their aim will be to destroy him. Those in power ensure that the following things are put into action:

1) dismissal from the medical associations, 2) instigation of newspaper and TV campaigns portraying him as a charlatan, 3) mounting attacks against him from the judicial system, 4) constant police harassment at home.

How effective are the treatments in mainstream medicine? Chemotherapy which has a 3% success rate. Yes, that’s right, a 97% fatality rate. Just over 90% of the oncologists surveyed in Canada  would not submit themselves to the same protocols that they prescribe to their patients! Of the 64 oncologists surveyed, 58 said that… “ALL chemotherapy programs were unacceptable to them and their family members due to the fact that the drugs don’t work and are toxic!”

…as a chemist trained to interpret data, it is incomprehensible to me that physicians can ignore the clear evidence that chemotherapy does much, much more harm than good. Alan C Nixon, PhD, former president of the American Chemical Society

There have been 5 studies on animals and humans that show that Vitamin B17 kills cancer cells but it’s not recommended because of the cyanide content but this is actually what kills the cancer cells. If you’re worried about taking a supplement, you could introduce Vitamin B17 rich foods into your diet like raspberries, cashews, brown rice, pecans, buck wheat and millet. There is a book out called Cancer Step Outside The Box by Ty Bollinger which talks of other ways of preventing cancer and how to treat it. The first thing I discovered though was The Rick Simpson Story on youtube which tells the story of a man in Canada who has been treating cancers successfully with hemp oil. I should say that I have only been researching this for a few weeks and am in no way a health professional, so please do seek out expert advice but also do some research of your own. I have though, just been shown some peer reviewed studies showing that canabis, canniboid can heal cancer growths. It’s clear to see with a quick scout round the net that there are cures out there and alternatives to chemotherapy which is really encouraging and heart warming. I just wish more people knew…

Be healthy.
